Where to take your dating profile photos in San Antonio

G'day San Antonio! I've been driving down the I-35 heaps lately for shoots, so let's talk spots. Mate, the location is half the photo. Not because it needs to be fancy, but because it needs to look like somewhere you'd actually be on a Saturday. That's the whole game with dating photos. Someone looks at it and goes, "oh, I could see myself there with them."

Start somewhere you actually hang out

Here's how I normally set it up. On our call we chat about what you actually do on the weekend, then I build the spots around that. Brunch person? Coffee person? Always at the dog park? Cool, that's where we're going. The best location is one that makes sense for you, not one that looks like a stock photo.

The Pearl

If you want that easy, put-together, out-for-a-drink vibe, the Pearl is a banger. Old brewery brick, heaps of texture, beautiful light late in the afternoon, and it doesn't look staged. It's perfect for your vibes shot, the one that shows off your style.

It's also a great spot for your first photo, the portrait. Keep that one simple: just you, looking like you on a really good day. No sunnies, no weird crop, no group shot where people have to guess which one you are.

Southtown

Southtown's colourful and a bit arty, with murals and cool little coffee spots and bars. Great for your reaction shot: you laughing with a coffee in hand, mucking around, walking and chatting. It reads relaxed and fun, which is exactly what you want on Hinge or Bumble.

The River Walk (the quiet bits)

Look, the River Walk is gorgeous, but it's busy. If we use it, we find a quieter stretch so it's you in the photo, not you and forty tourists lol. You get that classic San Antonio feel without it screaming "I'm on holiday."

Or just your place

Honestly, some of the best shots happen at home. Your kitchen, your balcony, your backyard with the dog. It's real, it's relaxed, and nobody's watching. Plus you already know where the good light is.

What it costs to come down

San Antonio sessions are the exact same shoot as Austin: the Together package at $799, plus a $150 travel fee, so $949 all up. Same coaching, same outfits, same gallery.
