Looking for a Headshot Photographer? You Got Close, Mate.

Recently I was talking to Chase, who I photographed in San Antonio. When he first started looking for better photos of himself, he was Googling headshot and portrait photographers.
He didn’t even know online dating photography was a thing.
Honestly, fair enough. Most people don’t.
So if that is what you searched for, here’s the quick answer: if what you actually need is a better dating profile, you’re in the right place.
After going down the Google rabbit hole, the light bulb eventually went off. He was basically like, “Ohhhh. Yep. This makes way more sense.”
You searched for a headshot photographer. Here’s what I actually do.
I make a complete set of photos for your dating profile. They look good, feel like you, and give someone something to message you about.
Think of it like a personal-branding shoot. Except the brand is you, and the audience is your future dates.
That means photos that are fun, casual, and actually have some context. Even if it’s just, “You look hot in that photo.” Great. Job done.
For some people, that starts with a headshot search. But dating apps need more than one polished face photo.
And the random photos you’ve collected from weddings over the last five years probably aren’t going to save you either. Half the time you’re wearing the same suit, holding a beer, and standing next to someone who now needs to be aggressively cropped out.
What we’re trying to make are photos that feel like someone just happened to get a really good photo of you doing something you actually do.
Pickleball? Let’s shoot that. Soccer? Great. Walking the dog, getting coffee, making a cocktail, or whatever actually makes sense for you.

Basically, your friend took a great photo of you. Except your friend is me, and I actually know how to use a camera.
Why a full set works better for dating apps
Getting one good photo of yourself isn’t impossible.
Getting enough good photos to build an entire dating profile is where it gets annoying.
You need a good photo of your face, a full body shot, different clothes, different environments, and a bit of personality. By photo five, most people are digging through their camera roll going, “Screw it, I guess this one from 2022?”
That is basically why I built the Together Package.
I shoot these in Austin and San Antonio. We move around, change outfits, and make a set of photos that actually do different jobs on your profile. And while we’re there, we also get an updated LinkedIn portrait.
So weirdly, the thing you originally Googled for? You get that too.

Should you book a headshot photographer or the Together Package?
If you literally need one photo for LinkedIn, go get a headshot.
But if you Googled “headshot photographer” or “portrait photographer” because what you really meant was, “I need some decent photos for my dating profile,” then yep, you got pretty close, mate.

Plus, who doesn’t want a really sick photo with their cute little puppy? Exactly.
